Vrundawan is the place where you can enjoy pure oxygen and
calmness. The serene environment helps you to break free from
your day to day stress and you feel close to the nature.
Vrundawan, a jungle full of Tulsi (Basil/Vrunda) in literal meaning, is
true to its essence, a dream place which is close to two big metro’s
Mumbai and Pune.
A rurban setup amidst a hillock with wide variety of Flora
and Fauna. Vrundawan is full off of indigenous, aboriginal as well exotic trees and bushes. This with wide variety of birds, migratory and resident all throughout the year chirping and rhyming to seek our attention and help us enjoy the nature’s bounty, in true peaceful environment.
We have two comfortable and hygienic cottages. Spacious verandas with swings offer unique moments to experience nature. Vrundawan is best place to spend quality time with friends and family. Our experimental farming and unique observations about surrounding nature make it a joyful learning experience for the kids as well as elderly.
We offer peace and quietness, but for parents who need a break from kids, indoor games like chess, carrom can be arranged and you can ask kids to have look at our library to keep them away from screens.
We do take our guest for morning walks to near by dams and jungle, which is guided tour, plus tour of our farm to make kids and parents aware about the nature’s variety and effort it takes to produce our food.
We serve homemade vegetarian food as part of our day and stay packages. A standard day package would include breakfast and Lunch. Stay packages have dinner too. Tea and coffee at day start and by breakfast and afternoon is served as per request.
Non-veg food can be arranged on prior order and confirmation at extra charges prevalent in market.
A/C facility is available for summer needs, rest seasons the nature makes you comfortable in it lap.
Nature is enough intoxicating, no alcoholic drinks are allowed in Vrundawan.
ABOUT US
Ketaki Mhaskar, a wellness expert and Anant Mhaskar an IT professional started of a dream of being self-reliant farming family. We wanted to have firsthand experience of starting a farm life with vision to be self-sustainable farm. Being a close extension of Saguna Baug family, we believe in farming and agro tourism as a way of life. City life with its choked environment and run of mill lifestyle unsettled us to find a peaceful, close to nature getaway and hence we landed on Warai Hills with our Vrundawan.
We wanted our kids to learn the skills of farming and know the nature first hand, explore and experience of being with birds, trees, flowers, reptiles. We are taking Agro tourism concept pioneered by Shri. Chandrashekar Bhadsavle of Saguna Baug as a way to meet city people to form a bridge connecting city to village, farm life which we all are missing these days in our city life.
Ketaki with Saguna Baug childhood and Anant’s liking for nature, we decided to start afresh. Thus started a whole new process of transformation of a wellness expert and IT professional into earthy but prudent ‘rurban’ farmers (The Urban modernity combined with the Rural earthiness).
We are joined by our kids and Anant's parents, who loved our idea of moving to Warai, they are loving the stay and encouraging us in our goal with their happiness.
